UPCOMING ART SHOWS AND EXHIBITS
Creative ideas fill my mind and studio these days. It’s a busy year ahead! Here’s a rundown of shows and exhibits for the next few months. But this is only the beginning; there are more to come!
January – March
Currently I have paintings on display at the White Water Gallery in North Bay, as part of the Black Water Show ending February 8, at the Canada Summit Centre in Huntsville until February 10, Muskoka Lakes Municipal Offices in Port Carling to February 28 with an ongoing exhibit at the Diesel House Cafe in Bracebridge.
From February 8 to March 8, my painting, Pine Point, will be part of the Muskoka Arts and Crafts Members’ Themed Show, A Thousand Words, at Chapel Gallery in Bracebridge. For this exhibit and sale, MAC challenged members to create artwork inspired by a favourite quote. This is the one I chose – “For a tree to become tall it must grow tough roots among the rocks.” Friedrich Nietzsche
May-June
Meanwhile, my friend and fellow artist, Janice Feist, and I are busy preparing for our two-woman show, Firmly Rooted, taking place May 3-31 at Chapel Gallery and also for the Muskoka Lakes Spring Art tour where “4” (Janice, Lynda Lynn, Pat Whittle and I) will show together at the Bala Bay Inn in Bala on June 7 & 8.
Please drop by one of them if you are in the area and visit www.wendiedonabie.com to view my artwork portfolio. I invite your comments.
Thank you.
Wendie
